We are excited to announce that we have successfully conducted our first flight between the sister islands of Curaçao & Klein Curaçao. The direct flight time between the two islands is now just 7 Minutes.

We are excited to announce that we have successfully completed our Seaplane Certification. This makes us the first airline in the Caribbean to operate seaplanes commercially.

We are proud to announce that DCI has been allocated Air Operator Certificate (AOC) #19 by the Curaçao Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA). This AOC now enables DCI to conduct commercial air transport services within Curaçao.

We are excited to announce that we have performed our first flight with an amphibian aircraft.

On this date our Lake LA-250 was officially registered as PJ-AWA (awa means water in papiamento). With this registration our company becomes the first operator ever to operate a Seaplane in Curaçao, and also the first seaplane operator in the Caribbean.

Due the international affects surrounding Covid-19, Dutch Caribbean Islandhopper delays the formal introduction of our airline.

19 April 2017
Dutch Caribbean Islandhopper applied for her Air Operator Certificate (AOC) at the Curaçao Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA).
Unfortunatly the CCAA was unable to commence with this certification due the ongoing difficulties at the largest airline in Curacao “Inselair”. DCI ‘s certification will commence once the CCAA has sufficient resources available.

On this day Dutch Caribbean Islandhopper B.V. was formally established on the Dutch Caribbean Island of Curaçao by her founder mr. Steven R.M. Chin-A-Kwie.
